KLM (on behalf of Air France-KLM)
    Who we are
For 105 years, continuous improvement and innovation has been part of KLM’s DNA. Now the aviation industry faces one of its biggest challenges: reducing our impact on the planet. Alternative aviation fuels - yielding lower carbon emissions from production to use compared to fossil fuel - will be one of the levers to tackle this challenge. We have already been co-operating with parties to research and stimulate the development of various technologies, of which synthetic fuel (e-SAF) is expected to be the most promising in terms of feedstock availability and cost perspective. I am honoured to be the co-Chair of Project SkyPower, which brings together European leaders from across the aviation value chain to scale up production of e-SAF. It will be challenging, however I am convinced that together we can make this a reality.
